Vanessa’s Encounters
THE INSPIRING WOMEN OF DEIÀ
“Among my most vivid memories of Deià are these encounters. Strong, independent women, deeply connected to this place. They inspired me as much as the landscape itself.”

DORA ALZAMORA GOOD
Dora Alzamora Good, a self-taught ceramicist, works in a small studio perched above the village. Her practice is intuitive, rooted in raw material. She creates pieces that are both rough and delicate, reflecting the nature that surrounds her. To her, imperfection becomes a strength.
ANNA-ALEXANDRA
Anna-Alexandra is an artist, poet, and performer. Through her work, she explores myths, memory, and femininity. Her approach is free, instinctive, and outside conventional frameworks. I was struck by her ability to create a world that feels deeply personal—almost sacred.
ALESSANDRA MARIOTTI
Alessandra Mariotti, an Italian chef based in Mallorca, offers a cuisine that is simple, authentic, and always connected to local ingredients. With her, everything is in the gesture. Few words, but deep meaning. Her cooking is a sincere form of sharing.
“These women follow no predefined path. They forge their own, in harmony with nature and their convictions. Deià mi Corazón wouldn’t have resonated in the same way without them. Their energy, their way of creating and inhabiting this place, are part of its story.”
